Attend the National School in Indianapolis the meetings and competitions Although improvements to Nex School students to compete in the Indianapolis African American History Challenge Students from three schools to compete in the Indianapolis African American History Challenge June 7-11 was held in Atlanta, Georgia's team is composed of Kenneth Rush crispus Attucks Middle School, Gordon Jackson Park Tudor and Adrian Wynn of Craig Middle School. The African American History Challenge is an educational program designed to promote the academic study of Africa and African American history. Students in the program of work should recognize the importance of world history, to seek the truth for the study of history and detect when the text does not accurately reflect the contribution of people of African descent. The main source of study used in the preparation of the national competition was "Before the Mayflower", written by historian Leron Bennett. The students prepared for the competition since the beginning of October, meets every Saturday moing from 9:30 to noon at the School of Indianapolis? S Multicultural Center. Northwest High School Inteational Baccalaureate Program of Indianapolis offer students the opportunity to join the Inteational Baccalaureate curriculum. Beginning this fall, the rigorous Inteational Baccalaureate curriculum has been done in the North High School. The district high school in Indianapolis Inteational Baccalaureate magnet program was formally approved on 15 May 2006. The Inteational Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), a nonprofit education based in Geneva, Switzerland has approved the offer of the program in the Northwest High School after school ended to a request for two years. The implementation process includes training and professional development for all teachers in the north-west and the school staff, visits to other schools, with programs in advance of a formal request was submitted in June 2005. A team of Inteational Baccalaureate site spent two days visiting the school last fall and interviews with staff, students and teachers. The IB is only possible in seven schools in the state of Indiana. The IB curriculum is still very difficult to study. Includes Studienkolleg hard work in these traditional areas of study such as mathematics, foreign language, history, science and the arts. Students who are eligible for the program will be asked to write an essay, and are expected to attend 150 hours of community service which was launched by the student. All Programs in the Inteational Baccalaureate is the Indiana high school. School District of Indianapolis? S Research Center is currently in the certification process to provide an elementary and middle grades Academic Program Inteational Baccalaureate. That will give Indianapolis urban school students an opportunity to address the challenges of world-class curriculum. The curriculum will be more difficult for the higher expectations of students and achieving a strong academic focus. The acceleration of the program is intended to help promote small school curriculum that is used in the Northwest High School. The high school now has four small academies organized by academic and career all on one campus.
