Creating a class of cable TV network
Creating a class of cable TV network Always ask if you and your students can create their own TV show? Want ads and school / class information for students of all classes a long time? Want to avoid the students who were not present constantly ask, "What we did in class yesterday?" It is not only possible, but with some devices, it is easy to configure and manage. They, of course, some pieces of hardware, such as a TV or (digital projector) and a computer. You also need the right cable to connect the two. We have found that sometimes the computer of some resolution must be adapted or modified in order to check the monitor. You could also scan converter, if all else fails. The television network can be easily installed on a computer screen that is part of the students. Your computer also in PowerPoint (or equivalent presentation software). We use these programs work on Mac and Linux and Windows, and I am all for this application. PowerPoint is the function of the progress made through the information or the slides by clicking with the mouse, or by setting up times between the individual measures. Then you can every word, line, paragraph, or even animated graphics automatically. You can change the settings for the various pieces of information you have. Check the top menu "slide show", and follow the menu "Custom Animation" (or a similar command). Here, you can animate the individual elements, the nature of the transition to occur, any sound you want with it connected, and also the date (automatic, not a simple click of the mouse). Want to practice a couple of times until the timing is good, and there are enough seconds to see or read the individual elements before the next animation or transition. Your film can be changed automatically. Go to "Presentation" menu and select "Slide Transition" or the "Show". From there you can kind of transition, and also the speed of animation. You can change your computer's settings so that the machine not to sleep, or go to a screensaver. This finally defeat your purpose! Now that you know how to do a show, you have to decide which materials or other information provided on the display. I have the basic information, such as lunch, school or class announcements and home. I will also plan and tu off when the day has changed. For students who are not present, there are also class notes from previous classes. Now there is no excuse for missing assignments or class student information! It saves you from dealing with any student to ask what has been lost, and where to find it. If you want courage and a great draft class, students have run your ad every day. They can be your partner and the first class of the day ads. Another project is that your students storyboard, where a short story is divided between a series of slides, each slide including pictures, clip art or graphics to illustrate the story. Here you will find many good pictures on-line or clip-art for your program. If you have access to a digital camera, you can also students have their photos and insert them. Another project we have done is to create a PowerPoint for a class or a whole weeks worth of class-Info. This is a newsletter or a magazine animated. Also here is a student to take the photos on a digital camera in the classroom and the connection with articles on the various activities that you did. You can also use the student work as examples. There are also advanced techniques you can experiment with how to better the program. Sound can be added, such as music, songs, or voice recordings. There are also opportunities, videos. Become an expert with the basics, and you will be ready for these techniques. ------------- For this article, and more on education, be sure to browse our website: Frank Holes, Jr. is the editor of the Star site Teaching and BI-newsletter monthly features for teachers.
