Unit-1: Components of the communication system: Introduction to Communication: definition and means of communication, the analog signals and digital signs waves, square waves, properties of the signals: amplitude, frequency, phase, theoretical basis for the disclosure of data: Fourier Analysis: Fourier series and Fourier - Transform (ownership, ESD, PSD and Raleigh) effect is limited bandwidth on digital signals. Unit-2: system for the transmission of data: physical connections: amplitude modulation, frequency, phase modulation, data encoding: encoding binary (NRZ), Manchester encoding, Manchester encoding differential diagnosis. Transmission media: twisted pair, co-axial, fiber optic cable transmission, wireless transmission impairments: attenuation, low-bandwidth channels, delay distortion, noise, data from the channel (Nyquist theorem, Shannon limit) . Physical Layer Interface: RS 232, X.21 Unit 3: Standards for data: Commission simplex, half duplex, full duplex mode of transmission: serial, parallel, synchronization: asynchronous and synchronous transmission, type of service-oriented connection, connection of services, flow control: free protocol simplex simplex stop-and-wait protocol, the window protocol, switching systems, circuit switching; picket exchange: data gram, virtual connections, permanent virtual circuits. Phone System: PSTN, ISDN, asynchronous digital subscriber line. Multiplexing: division multiplexing frequency, time, wave-division multiplexing Unit-4: Security in the communication of data transmission error feedback, far-sighted approaches to error checking, error detection, parity check, block check sum check the sequence of frames; Error Correction: Hamming codes, Cyclic Redundancy Check, Data encryption: secret key cryptography, public key cryptography, data compression: run the coding, Huffman coding.
