Miami Schools Get Top Marks this Year Most schools Win a Miami? A? Florida's Fifty-three percent of Miami-Dade? And the schools? 179 of 328 receiving grades Wednesday? received? A? based on their students? performance in the 2006 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test this spring. This is an improvement compared to last year, when the percentage was about forty-six per cent. In general, schools in Miami have obtained excellent results compared to the whole country. This year, for a total of seventy-three percent of schools scored a Miami? A? or? B? in 2006 and only six percent received one? D? o? F? this year? s evidence. The State of Florida, started the test overall Florida three years. Eighty-seven schools had higher in 2006 than in 2005, including 59 percent of schools (39 schools). The number of schools with the highest degree in 2006, more than double the number of degrees lower. This plan provides recommendations, timetable and budget for the creation and implementation of the plan to strengthen the education provided. The plan focuses on three areas: Education, gifted, advanced academic programs, and talent among all potential students. Some ways in which the plan will seek to improve the program are equipped to add school psychologists and specialists in the placement to ensure the assessment and placement of students with and, potentially, through the provision of professional development for teachers, principles and staff support the addition of specialists and the addition of further funds if necessary. Another part of the plan is to increase the level of parental involvement and support. One way to do would be to increase the number of sessions for parents through the Parent Academy. A great feature of this plan is to ensure equal access for all students in schools in Miami. The plan provides for the delivery of home-based programs with all schools, so that even schools with small populations will be able to provide adequate services.
